Background[]
In contrast to the other international remakes, Azizyanner does not use the exact scripts or characters of MWC, but instead used the show as a blueprint to create its own original stories and characters. Though, some elements are still clearly based on MWC, such as the house design and Garnik working in a sales job and looking defeated like Al Bundy.
Some of the notable changes in comparison to Married... with Children
- The use of modern technology and social media that did not exist during MWC.
- Garnik working in a women's clothing store, though he is seen working around shoes like Al Bundy.
- There are three Azizyan children, with the oldest and youngest being males.
Synopsis[]
The show, which takes place in Yerevan, Armenia, tells the story of the Azizyan family: Garnik Azizyan, a clothes store seller, is the only one working in his family. He comes home tired every day and sees his family's fights, quarrels, and general routine. His wife, Rozanna is too lazy to perform the duties of a housewife. The problems of Garnik don't bother his 3 children – his daughter, Marie, who is internet-addicted and is active in all social networks; Azat, his unemployed eldest son, who is a complete loser, and Lyon, his youngest son, who is a schoolboy, who enjoys mocking Azat.
