Billy Beck (born Frank Billerbeck; May 26, 1920 – June 29, 2011) was an American clown and character actor.
He appeared on Married... with Children as Guard in the "Where's the Boss?".
Biography[]
When he was young, Beck did drawings of clowns. During World War II he fought with the Allied Forces in France and stayed in Paris after the war, where he worked as a regular performer at Harry's Bar and was a featured clown with Cirque Medrano. He made his on-screen acting debut in 1955 in French feature films and American TV episodes shot in France, such as Paris Precinct.
After moving to California in 1960, Beck went on to act mostly in small parts in a lot of movies and television shows over the course of five consecutive decades. Those included shows like Sherlock Holmes, The Twilight Zone, The Jeffersons, and Charmed. Moreover, Beck also appeared in many TV commercials, did paintings and portraits of female nudes, and was a regular with the San Fernando Valley Bango Band, which played for charity events and at retirement homes.[1]
Death[]
Billy died on June 29, 2011 at age 91 of congestive heart failure at an assisted care facility in Glendale, California. He was survived by a great nephew and a great niece.[1]
