Brandy Ledford, aka Brandy Sanders (born Brandy Lee Ledford, February 4, 1969) is an American / Canadian actress, dancer and former model.
She appears as Brandi, a stripper at The Jiggly Room in the Season 9 Married... with Children episode titled "The Naked and the Dead, But Mostly the Naked".
Early Life[]
Born in Denver, Colorado, she grew up in Redondo Beach, California. She discovered her love for dancing at an early age and began competing in local and national drill team competitions, winning the World Drill Team championships in 1980. She graduated from Redondo Union High School, the same school that MWC actress Traci Lords attended.
From an early age, she was exposed to drugs and alcohol, smoking marijuana and doing cocaine at 14 years old, an addiction she had for over 10 years. She continued to party and use drugs as she grew up, eventually being arrested twice before the age of 17 for public intoxication.
Modeling Career[]
At the age of 18 she began modeling and traveled to Japan. After a year there, she moved to New York.
During the early 1990s, she modeled for several adult magazines such as Penthouse, Genesis, Club International, and Hustler under the names Billie, Giselle, Ginny, Jennica and Jisel. She appeared in explicit solo and girl-girl pictorials including dildo insertion.
In 1990, under the name "Jisel", she became Penthouse Magazine's Pet of the Month for May 1990 and Pet of the Year 1992. She also appeared in several videos for Penthouse, including Penthouse Satin & Lace II: Hollywood Undercover and Penthouse Dream Girls
She was also named Hustler Honey for October 1990 under the name "Billie".
Acting Career[]
Beginning in 1993, she started taking acting lessons in Los Angeles. Using the name "Brandy Sanders", she made her film debut in a small, but memorable role in the blockbuster movie, Demolition Man. She also appeared in several other films and television shows such as Indecent Behavior (featuring MWC guest star Shannon Tweed), The George Carlin Show, Silk Stockings, Rat Race, and Walker, Texas Ranger.
From 1999 to 2000, she had a recurring role on Baywatch as lifeguard Dawn Masterton.
She played the role of Doyle in the science fiction TV series Andromeda.
She has appeared in several other television shows including Modern Family and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Personal Life[]
Ledford is a devout born-again Christian who describes Jesus Christ as "the greatest love of my life."[1] She said that she found God in her her early 20s, after growing up in a non-religious household.
Having been a former drug addict and alcoholic herself, she continues to advocate for and help those in the recovery community. She is also a board member for the Red Songbird Foundation, which helps get people into treatment with scholarships.
In the early 1990s, she was married to snowboarder Damien Sanders, and appears in the snowboarding films, Critical Condition (1991) and Snowboarders in Exile (1990) as herself. From 1998 to 2004, she was married to Canadian actor Martin Cummins. As of 2020, she is remarried, as she noted in an Instagram post.
