Brian is a teenager who dates Kelly Bundy and tries to convince her to get a tattoo in the season 2 episode, "How Do You Spell Revenge?"
Description[]
Brian appears to be a teenage male with blonde, shaggy hair. He is somewhat manipulative, as he tries to convince Kelly that getting a tattoo is the only way to show how much she really loves him. Though in the end, he ends up getting a tattoo with her name just as she dumps him for another guy.
Background[]
Kelly first mentions Brian when she tells her father, Al that she can't join her family on Sunday to play on the New Market Mallers softball. She tells him that she and Brian will be watching employees unload the new 1988 Harley-Davidson motocyles at the bike shop and that she thinks she is in love with Brian. Despite her protest, Al insist she will play 3rd at the Sunday game.
Afterward, Peggy comes downstairs and Kelly tells her about Brian, explaing how they got to eat for free after he put a roach on their plate. She continues on about how much she loves his looks and even his breath.
On the Sunday the family went to play, Kelly instead came back to the Bundy residence with Brian, where she feed him snack food while laying down on her lap. He keeps insisting that she doesn't really love, but she tells him that its not like she does this for every boy she dates. Brian then points that he actually knows that she does this for every boy she dates, and she simply shrugs it off as she puts a chip in her mouth and has him bite it, leading to a kiss. Suddenly, their romantic moment is ruined as Al loudly announces the arrival of the family. Brian begins to panic, but she reassures there is nothing to worry about when he meets her parents, except for sitting in Al's particular spot on the couch. She tells him to only talk about sports and bodily functions around Al, as those are the only things he knows about and to not touch her while in his presence unless he want to have his back broken.
The family enters with Al explaining how they lost to senior citizens due to Peggy. Brian quickly gets up from the couch and asks if that particular spot in the middle belonged to Al. He points out to Brian that this is his house, so every spot belongs to him. Kelly chimes in and tries to introduce Brian to her parents and as he puts his hand out to shake Al's, Al ignores him to remind Peggy about next week's game. Bud calls out to Al and tells him that all the juice is gone, causing him to shift his attention back to Brian and stare him down. Peggy intervines and tells Brian to just ignore Al, before wondering if she had met Brian before. He mentions that he works at the grocery store, but Al tells him that there is no way that Peggy would be there and badgers him again for drinking all the juice in the house. Peggy insists that they leave Kelly and Brian alone, but Al and Bud ignore her, instead Bud decides to get in Brian's face and stare him down, while Al stares him from a different angle.
Some time later, Kelly and Brian head out to the Bundy veranda, where he thanks her for stepping in and insisting that he could have more juice. She tells Brian that its not a problem and that he is more important than her father, which suprises him. As he sits down with her and takes her hand, he suggest that if she really loves him, instead of just saying those words, she could do something with him, but then implies that she would be too scared to do it. She tells him that they've known each other for two whole days and that there isn't anything that she wouldn't do for him (implying that they may have already done some sexual things). He then reveals that he actually wants her to get a tattoo with his name, as he will also get one with her name. She seems hesitant to do it, believing her parents would kill her for getting a tattoo behind their backs, but Brian kisses her and she decides to go forward with the plan.
Later that night, she becomes hesitant again and talks to Al, asking if a girl should look a certain way for a guy, even if she doesn't want to do it. In his speech, he basically says that it is a girl's responisbility to do what the guy wants until marriage, when the law steps in and makes men do things for women. But regardless, she doesn't have to always do what the guy wants, especially if that girl is Kelly. Although she appreciates the advice, she call up Melvin Tattoo shop and makes an appointment for the following Sunday.
After Al, Peg, and Bud return from another loss at softball, a man arrives at the door. He evetnually reveals himself to be Jimmy, an ex-boyfriend of Peggy's from high school. As they talk, he tells Al that Peggy had dumped him on the night of the Sophmore Dance, riding off on the back of a motorcycle, after he had arrived at her house in a tuxedo and rented a limo to take her to the dance. Despite the breakup, he was able to look back on that momen and laugh it off. He also points out that he viewed Peggy as the love of his life, revealing that he got a tattoo with her name on it and was going to show it to her at the dance. Al thinks "Jimbo" is insane and suggest that it is time for him to leave. As Jimmy reaches the door, he asks if they know how it feels to be forever tattooed with the name of someone who broke their heart. He reveals that he had to marry another "Peggy", who is an enormous fat woman that sleep standing up. As he heads out, he asks Peggy if she remembered the time they went to a restaurant and got to eat for free after he put a roach on their plate. She remembers and points out that Kelly is dating a guy who did the same thing. Jimmy suddenly changes his attitude and says "I know!", revealing that he is, in fact, Brian's father and that this was his way of getting revenge.
After Jimmy leaves, Al and Peggy begin to wonder where Kelly and Brian are. Bud comes in and tells them that she was spotted at the tattoo parlor with Brian, causing Al to get a baseball bat and promising to beat up both Brian and Jimmy. Later, Kelly arrives and Peggy demands to see her arm, but she tells her mom that she didn't get the tattoo. She reveals that Brian knew about the story invovling Peggy and Jimmy's tattoo, and fell in love with Brian even more. But, as Brian got his tattoo, Kelly saw another guy and fell in love with him instantly, leaving Brian at the tattoo parlor while she rode off into the sunset in a Domino's pizza delivery truck. Peggy then wonders if Brian will be ok having "Kelly" tattooed on him, but Kelly reassures her that she'll introduce Brian to another girl named Kelly, though she quickly points out that the other Kelly is rather fat.
