In Season 2's The Razor's Edge" after Marcy convinces Steve to come home and shave his beard, Al turns to Peg and asks if she can make the potatoes that Steve did when he stayed with them. Peg responds by asking Al if he can make love for an hour like Steve. After a moment of awkward silence, Al asks if they should just go to Burger King for dinner, which she agrees to.
In season 2's The Great Escape, after Peggy confronts Kelly about going to a concert instead of studying for a math test, Kelly says "Oh come on, I'm mean, when am I ever going to need to know math?". Bud implies that she'll be working at Burger King by telling her "Well, you may need it for your career... you know, '3 Whoppers, large fries and a Coke".
In season 3's My Mom, the Mom, while attending the mother-daughter event at Polk High School, Kelly mentions how different Peggy was as a mother compared to the other children. She then points out that at her first day of kindergarten, she opened her lunch box and found a dollar and a road map to Burger King.
In season 3's The Dateless Amigo, when the family didn't join him in a Whoa Bundy! after he showed off his invention, "Bundy Shoe Lights", Al bragged that he'll be "at Burger King sucking down the Whoppers at my own private table".
