Background[]
During Al Bundy's weeklong vacation from work, Peggy Bundy suggest that they all go on vacation to Branson, as the brochure that she received shows that they have an offer for a "vein-clogging-heart-stopping-all-fried buffet" and rooms with only twin beds.
Upon arrival, they are greeted by Cletus, who welcomes them to the Deliverance Inn and informs them that they will "squeal like a pig" at their hospitality. As he notices Bud, he smiles and says "especially you", indicating that he is taking a liking to him. With Al offering up $20 and a bag of cans to pay for the room, Cletus suggest the "Ned Beatty" suite. He then turns to Bud and smiles, telling him that "there's a back door" (a euphemism for anal sex), causing Bud to want to go home.
After learning that Peg stole Al's wallet with the money that was meant to pay for the room, Cletus informs the family that the next bus won't be back until tomorrow and then suggest to Bud that he could stay for the complimentary canoe trip before winking at him. Later on, Bud is forced to collect coins from the fountain, but begins to drown. Upon hearing that, Cletus runs over and offers to perform CPR, but Bud then decides to jump back in. After Cletus cuts the Bundys from the buffet, due to the restaurant reaching its weight limit. Bud, still sitting in the fountain, begins to worry about where they will sleep, then tells the family the clerk offered to blow dry him.
In a desperate attempt to find money, Peg and Kelly decide to enter a music contest as the Juggs and manage to win $5000 and a chance to tour with country musician, Tammy Wynette. Despite their win and now having a nice hotel suite, the family begins to argue with each other over how the duo will be be managed.
They soon meet the country singer, but it starts off rocky. After the duo fire Al from his managerial duties, they ask Bud to talk to Tammy. Bud tries to flirt with her, but she informs him that the local newspaper, the Branson Bugle, said that he is dating Cletus, with Al indicating that he gave the newspaper the fake story. It soon dissolves into insults between the singer and the family before she finally backs out their tour deal and calls the family a bunch of loons and fakers.
Cletus comes to their room and informs them that since they are no longer under Wynette's tab, someone has to now pay. Without any money, the rest of the family turn to Bud, as Cletus looks on with a smile on his face. While it is not shown, Bud reveal that he had to take a canoe trip with Cletus in order to settle the tab. Kelly then informs Bud that she gave Cletus their home address, as he wants to write to Bud, once he learns how to do so.
