Dave was a character who appeared in the Season 5 episode of Married... with Children titled "Oldies But Young 'Uns". The part of Dave is played in the episode by Suli McCullough.
About Dave[]
Dave appears to be a young man in his early 20s with an extensive knowledge of music. He is able to recognize a song with a simple hum of the melody or a few of the lyrics.
Background[]
After Al's desperate attempt to find a song from his youth but can't remember the name of, he takes the advice from his friend, Charlie Verducci and visits a music store called Final Vinyl.
When Al and Peg arrive at the store, they observe Dave, the store clerk standing at the register. Several customers come up to him, humming a partial melody or singing a few words and Dave is easily able to tell them the song's name, its performer, and which aisle to find it on.
Seeing Dave's talent in action and believing he must be a musical genius, Al comes up to him and hums the melody as he sings "Go with him!". With a befuddled look, Dave answers back, "Never heard of it! Next!". Al drops to the floor and begs God to show him just a little bit of love for once. Suddenly, the jukebox begins to play the song, which was titled "Anna (Go to Him)".
He then rejoices and takes Dave to the jukebox, saying that its the song that he was looking for and asks how much for it. Believing that Al is a good customer and "obviously, a ranting, raving loon", Dave offers to sell it to him for $60.
