Ed is a security guard at the New Market Mall, who often mistakes burglars for innocent shoppers.
History[]
When Al plans to quit his job after his boss ignores his letter, he holds a gathering hoping he will still show up. He asks the guard whether he has seen any sign of a rich guy in the parking lot. Since Ed is there, the guard checks with him but all he sees is a guy in a ski mask trying to break into a car. Thinking that he is the owner of the car he advises him not to break the window but use Ed's coat hanger instead. Two days later, when Al is back, the guard informs Ed that he was right that Al would come crawling back. Then Ed sees two guys carrying jewels out the jewelry store without bags and tells them not to run in this heat.
