Ride Scare was the 22nd episode of Season 8 of Married... with Children, also the 179th overall episode of the series. Directed by Sam W. Orender, and written by Nancy Neufeld Callaway, the episode originally aired on FOX, premiering on April 24, 1994.
Al is forced to carpool by Marcy and her group's green initiative (Cleaner Greener Chicago). His carpool, consisting of him and three plus-sized models, is chosen to promote a campaign to clean up Chicago. Bud makes to the Dean's list due to good grades and no one appreciates him as much as they cheer Kelly when she gets a raise.
- Note: In 2005, TV Land included this episode as part of it's '100 Most Unexpected Moments in TV History', ranking it number 73 for the scene involving Seven (the kid the Bundys adopted in a season earlier) on a milk carton, reported missing.
Al opposes a forced car pooling until he learns that three lingerie models are in the group. But Al realizes the models are full-figured. Al and his group are then chosen to promote a campaign by the local health board to appear in commercial advertisements to "clean up an over polluted Chicago". But when Al and the ladies are asked to picket outside a chemical plant where Kelly works as "The Verminator" TV commercial spokesperson, Al must decide whether or not to help close down the plant, which will cause Kelly lose her TV commercial job, or give up his all of a sudden local fame and fortune. Meanwhile, no one seems to care after Bud announces that he has made the Dean's List at college.
