Miranda, the lovely Latina local news reporter who works for fictional WBHZ (Channel 83) in Chicago, is typically assigned to cover the pathetic news stories in which the Bundys inevitably involve themselves. She often laments the sad state of her career on air. While she only appears in a handful of episodes throughout the series, the character seems to be quite popular with fans. She is credited as "Miranda Cardinal", without her middle names being spelled out emphatically by her!
In "I Want My Psycho Dad (Part 1)", Miranda speaks of herself as "the woman from a country named after the equator", which indicates she is at least of Ecuadoran extraction.
