Geoffrey Scott (February 22, 1942 - Februrary 23, 2021) was an actor appeared on Married... with Children as Nick, a buddy of Al Bundy, who accepts a bribe from him to pose as his boss Gary to others who work at the New Market Mall as well as his family in the Season 1 episode "Where's The Boss?".

Early Life[]

Scott was born in Los Angeles in 1942. His father was a manager at Lockheed producing planes while his mother was a housewife. He and his brother were raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County and lived on the same street as actors John Wayne and Clark Gable. He would often jump into the Gable family's pool uninvited.

Career[]

A actor and stuntman, Geoffrey is perhaps best known for appearing on the television series Dynasty for two seasons (1982 to 1984) as Mark Jennings, the first husband of Krystle Carrington (played by series star Linda Evans).

In a YouTube video interview, Geoffrey talks about some of his experiences of working on the set of the 1960s ABC-TV daytime serial "Dark Shadows" in 2012.

Geoffrey has also appeared on numerous daytime soap operas; playing Sky Rumson on Dark Shadows in 1970, Jeffrey Jordan on Where The Heart Is in 1972, David McAllister on General Hospital in 1989 and Billy Lewis on Guiding Light in 1994. Scott also had a leading role in the HBO sitcom 1st & Ten in the 1980s.

According to his wife, Scott frequented competed with actor Tom Selleck for the same roles.

Aside from film and TV roles, Scott was also a prolific commercial actor, having starred in about 100 ads including cigarette companies Camel and Marlboro as well as Old Spice.

His final acting role was as the President in the 2003 film Hulk.

Personal life[]

Scott married producer Carol Engelhart Scott in 1975; they were later divorced. He went on to marry Cheri Catherine Scott in 1993 and remained until his death. In 1988, he was involved in a serious accident when he was struck by a car while cycling. Both his legs were crushed, but he went on to make a full recovery.[1] Following his retirement from acting, he moved to Colorado where he enjoyed skiing, which was a lifelong passion of his.

Death[]

Scott died on February 23, 2021 in Broomfield, Colorado due to Parkinson's disease just one day after his 79th birthday.[4][5]

He is survived by his wife Cherri and twin sons, Christopher and Matthew.
