Gretchen is an aerobics instructor and crew member of the Sea Dodge that Al and Jefferson met in the Season 9 episode of Married... with Children titled "Ship Happens (Part 1)".
She is played by actress and model, Lisa Stahl.
Background[]
After Al and Jefferson learn that the Sea Dodge is a cruise for fat people. the two men hear a knock on their cabin door. Although Al is hesitant to open the door, believing that it could a fat woman ready to turn them into her next meal, Jefferson finally decides to open it. They are stunned to see a slim, attractive blonde dressed in workout attire and carrying a clipboard and whistle.
As Jefferson tries to remember his own name, the woman introduces herself as Gretchen and asks if either of them are Gilbert Gottfried and if they were interested in taking her aerobics class. After they ask her about the fat people on the ship, she reveal that since neither of them are part of the "diet group", they can participate in the after hours activities. She further explains that after the 6 p.m. round up and lockdown for the fat people, they put away the food meant for dieting and bring out real food for the crew members and non-fat people and participate in activities such as "clothing optional lambada".
After Peg comes back with a horrible hairstyle and refuses to go on deck with the others, Al is forced to stay in with her. Gretchen is then seen in the party crowd, riding on the back of one of the male staffers as Al looks on.
