Jerry Hall

Jerry Faye Hall (born July 2, 1956) is an American actress and model.

She appeared on Married... with Children as Terry Cherry in "Al Loses His Cherry".

Biography

Early Life

Hall was born in Gonzales, Texas, to Marjorie (née Sheffield; 1924–2013), a medical records librarian, and John P. Hall as one of five daughters, including her twin, Terry Jaye. She moved with her family to Mesquite, Texas a nearby working-class town and Dallas suburb, when she was two. She had a turbulent early life, often facing the wrath of her late alcoholic truck driver father, who had longed for a son, which is why he gave his daughters traditionally boys' names.

Hall graduated from North Mesquite High School early at 16. While in high school, she also took classes at Eastfield College in archery, tennis, and gymnastics. Hall has been fluent in French since she was 16.

Career

After modeling for Kim Dawson Agency, she got into a car accident and used the insurance money to buy a one-way ticket to Paris when she was 16 where she was discovered by Antonio López. During that time shared an apartment with Grace Jones and Jessica Lange (who at that time were also modeling). Her modelling career began when she appeared, in the guise of a mermaid, on the cover of Roxy Music's album Siren (1975).

By 1977, Hall had been on 40 magazine covers including Italian Vogue and Cosmopolitan. She was earning modelling fees in excess of $1,000 per day. Her long blonde hair and height of six feet quickly made her one of the most visible and photographed models of the day.

Hall made her on-screen acting debut in 1980 as Sexy Sister in Urban Cowboy. She has since appeared in TV Shows such as Cluedo and Popetown and most notably in the movie Batman (1989).
