Johnny B. Goode's is the fictional burger restaurant in Chicago where Al and Peggy met when they were in high school.
According to Peggy, "people [would] come from miles around just to get a burger and to look at the grease stain on the wall where Al used to rest his head." Her and Al have made more memories there together than anywhere else. Al even holds the record of eating ten bags of fries in one sitting with his hands tied behind his back, while Peggy and his friends cheer "Chug-a-Spud, Chug-a-Spud, Chug-a-Spud!". For this record he was known as Al "the Pig" Bundy because he would not pay for the fries but he would eat them. Their tradition after coming home from Johnny B. Goode's was to sit in Peggy's parents' living room and watch TV together.
However, 16 years after they got married, Johnny B. Goode's closed and got torn down. The night before there was a big celebration that people could buy tickets for to eat at Johnny B. Goode's one last time. After all the people who had tickets got in, they would close all the doors and then people all over town would honk their horns in a fond farewell. Al had Bud camp out the night before to get them good tickets because only the first 200 people would get in. He got them No. 8 but throughout the night Al and Peggy had to keep trading their tickets with their friends Fat Charlie, 'No Jaw' McKenzie and Easy Eadie for higher numbers because they got held up at home. They would call Spike and ask him to inform their friends about the trade and had to end the phone call with "Rock'n'Roll forever!". However, when they were finally ready to go, it was too late and the horns were already honking.[1]
