He appears as himself in "Something Larry This Way Comes", after Kelly reveals that she is student of the month at his school. The honor included dinner and perform alongside Storch in a stage production of The Phantom of the Opera. Al, who is a big fan of Storch and F-Troop wants to get a picture with Larry smacking him on the head with his hat, before he is called into the shoe store for a Midnight Shoe Sale. During the episode, it is revealed that Larry previously operated "The Larry Storch School of Karate" and "The Larry Storch School of Heating and Air Conditioning Repair". After trying to escape from work and meet Larry at the Bundy residence, Al is stuck there due to Gary making an unannounced visit and being disappointed with profits.

Knowing that Al wanted to meet him, Larry then suggest to Kelly, Bud and Peg that they can pay Al a quick visit at the store before going to the theater. As Gary demands to know why the shoe store isn't making a profit, she tells Al and Griff about how her first business venture failed, after being swindled by her business partner and vowed to never let that happen again. Just as Larry arrives, Gary punches him out, as she revealed that he was the business partner at "The Larry Storch School of Heating and Air Conditioning Repair".

Al is then forced to pretend to be Larry and appear with Kelly on stage, with things going wrong. Larry is last seen laying unconscious at the shoe store, where Griff is using the opportunity to let women take pictures with him for $5. Just as he starts to wake up, Griff quickly hits him with a shoe over the head, knocking him out again.

A few episodes later, in "Pump Fiction", Kelly arrives home with a "Larry Storch School of Acting" t-shirt (featuring a picture of the actor's face) and an old camera stamped "Property of F-Troop". She tells Peg and Bud that her assignment is to make a film, as it is good to know how to work both in front of and behind a camera. Al, who is now upset that his former co-worker Luke Ventura got on the front page of Shoe News, is struggling to find a way to get featured while Kelly is trying to find an idea for her film project. They eventually come together and create the film, Sheos.
