For other characters with the name "Louie" see Louie.

Louie is one of Al Bundy's friends who makes his one and only appearance in the season 3 episode, "Requiem for a Dead Barber".

He is played by Vito D'Ambrosio.

Appearance[]

He appears to be a young man in his late 20s or early 30s and likely the youngest among the guys hanging out with Al. He is casually dressed in a t-shirt, vest and jeans, with what appears to be a cigarette pack tucked in one of his sleeves. He is a plumber by trade, but mentions that he doesn't feel comfortable in that job.

Background[]

Louie, along with Norris, Russ, and Barney, hang out at the Bundy Residence while trying to figure out what to do for their guys night out. But, they are all sporting perms as they can't find a true barber and had to settle with fancy salons. They debate where they can go without ruining their hair or get beat up.

Louie then leans in and suggest that they could go see the play, La Cage aux Folles, causing the rest of the gang to give him an odd look. He then tries to reassure the group that it is a fine play, but Al reminds him that he is a plumber (and implies that plumbers and heterosexual men in general don't suggest gay musicals to other men). Louie then confesses that he never real felt comfortable being a plumber as he pulls out a small fancy mirror to admire and fix his new hairdo.

Al decides to take the other guys into the kitchen for a private talk while Louie complains about the mess in the living room. Al admits that, in terms of manliness and being heterosexual, it is over for Louie and Russ isn't that far behind. He then suggests that they go find a nearby fire hydrant, turn it on, stick their heads in it and "wash the gay away!"

As the guys walk to the door, Al pauses for a moment and tells Louie that they are going dancing. As the guys walk past him, Barney says that he wants a steak, Russ wants beer, and Norris wants a woman, before Louie says that he's not dressed for dancing.
