Mimi Stoatz is Peggy Bundy's high school rival, who challenges her to a bowl off in the Season 2 episode, "Alley of the Dolls"

She is played by actress, Deborah Harmon.

Description[]

She appears to a woman in her mid to late 30s who wears similar fashion to Peggy. She is the wife of Chuck Stoatz and mother of twin sons Roscoe and Frank and their sister Didi. Mimi is known for being as they would always place bets and the loser (which usually ended up being Peg) had to do something humiliating that the winner picked in public.

Just like Peggy, Mimi does not work but contrary to her she has a maid who does her housework.

Background[]

Peggy encounters Mimi after she decides to go bowling at Spare Time Lounge with Al. They air kiss each other on the cheek while also hurling insulting at each other. Mimi then introduces her twin sons, Roscoe and Frank, to Peg while calling her an old hag. Peg points out that they don't look alike and asks if they have the same father or donor. The two ladies proceed to try and upstage one another, with both of them essentially boasting how they are lazy and don't work any around the house. Though Mimi boast that she has a maid to do the dirty work, while Peg enjoys living in a pigsty. Peg then sees Mimi's nerdy looking and balding husband, Chuck, but she quickly whispers in Peggy's ear that he has something significant (implying that he may have a large penis) that shocks her.

As they split off to go to their respective lanes, Peg tells Al how much she despises Mimi. Mimi then comes near Peg in order to show off her bowling skills. Although Peg is quick to criticize Mimi's technique, she score a strike, which scare Peg, believing that Mimi will have even more of a reason to mock her if she doesn't also bowl a strike. Chuck then bowls a strike as well, which cause Al to get involve and also bowl a strike. Peggy is happy to see that Al is able to bowl just as well as Mimi and Chuck, which then causes the two ladies to insult each other again.

Mimi then decides to place a bet on who can bowl better. Peg is reluctant at first, since she knows Mimi is a better bowler than her. Al reassures Peg that he can out bowl Chuck and since Bud is taking lessons, they can do a family bowl-off on Saturday. After debating about what punishment the loser gets, they eventually agree that the loser has to pose as a human trophy for pictures. Mimi introduces her daughter, Didi, which causes Peggy to quip about how lovely Mimi's children are, though she even agrees that her children are not attractive but are still more talented than Peggy.

Peggy then tries to call off the bet when she realizes that Mimi's team will have 5 members while the Bundys have only 4. Mimi and her family mock Peg as she tells her kids to see what a born loser looks like, causing Peg to tell Mimi's family to see what a bald lady looks like, as the ladies scuffle. Peggy coming home with part of Mimi's hair in her hand. Marcy decides to help Peg by having Steve be a ringer, as he is a skilled bowler.

On the night of the bowl-off, the two families bowl. Although the Bundys are almost victorious, due to Steve and Bud carrying the slack, Al costs them the game, claiming that he believes someone tampered with his "thumb-warmer". As Peggy is humiliates in front of the Stotz and the bowling alley patrons, Al decides to take the kids home, but insisted on getting a picture of him with Peggy dressed as a bowling pin.
