Miss McGowen (listed in the credits as Mrs. McGowen) is Bud Bundy's English teacher who pursue a romantic relationship with him in the Season 6 episode of Married... with Children titled "Teacher Pets".

The part of Miss McGowen is played by actress Linda Gibboney.

Description[]

Bud comes home on a Friday night and brags to his family and neighbors that his sexy English teacher, Miss McGowen looked at him in a way that indicated that she wanted him badly. Instead of any support or cheer, he is mocked for believing that any woman would desire him in any sort of way.

The following week, while in class, Bud debates with himself if she really did look at him. He then tried to downplay it and points out that she is 40 years old. Just then, he glances over and notices her legs, declaring that he wants her. As class ends for the day, she tells Bud to stay. In the empty room, she informs Bud that she noticed that he kept looking at her legs as well as other things. As the guilty Bud looks down in shame, Miss McGowen admits that his behavior has finally caused her to take action. Feeling guilty, he tells Miss McGowen to do what she must. But instead of a punishment, she reaches over and kisses him. A moment later, Bud smiles and yells out "Yabba-Dabba-Do!" and resumes kissing her atop of her desk.

Sometime later, Bud, now fully dressed to the nines and beaming with pride, brags that he finally has a date that night and expects Miss McGowen to be at the Bundys' front door after the door bell rang. As he opens the door, he is completely surprised to find his classmate, Darlene, standing there smiling and dressed up. Despite the sudden surprise, he just plays it off in front of his parents and walks outside with Darlene to the veranda.

Darlene tells Bud that rumors about him and Miss McGowen going out have been spreading around school and then confesses that she would like to go out with him as well. Bud seems to be confused as to why someone like Darlene would want him when he already has someone. She then admits that she wants him because if he can satisfy an older woman like Miss McGowen, then he can surely satisfy a younger woman like herself. Bud tells her that he and "Dottie", have a mutual exclusivity deal, but Darlene leans in and kisses him, which changes his tune and suggest that Miss McGowen can wait a little bit for him while he goes out with Darlene.

Three days later, Bud confesses to his father that juggling two women is wearing him out and that he needs some advice. Al tells him that he has been in the same predicament during high school and suggests that the simplest thing to do is just pick one girl. Bud expresses his concern that he may choose the wrong one, to which Al tells him, he absolutely will, simply because he is a man. As Bud points out that one of the women is his 40 year old teacher, Al stops his planned trip to Chuck E. Cheese and thinks the older woman is trying to rob the "vast Bundy fortune" . He then tells Bud that he is still young and can date 40 year old women when he is nearly 90. Despite the advice, Bud declares that he will keep both women and will be the Bundy that had it all.

Later, while in class, one of the students near Bud and Darlene mentions that Miss McGowen dumps Bud for a football player and ran off with him. Upon hearing this, Bud congratulates Darlene on the fact that she has him all to herself. But Darlene is no longer interested; she tells Bud "If you can't satisfy an older woman like Miss McGowen, what the hell would I want with you?!".

Despite both women dumping Bud, he is confident that the new substitute teacher won't be able to resist him. As it turns out, the substitute teacher Mrs. A. Mariner is a elderly woman who gleefully pinches his cheeks. Believing that things cannot get any more worse, Al arrives and confronts the sub, believing that she was the older woman that Bud was dating. He proceeds to accuse her of trying to robbing the "vast Bundy fortune" as well as lying about her age, as two Chicago police officers arrest her in front of the class.
