About Mrs. A. Mariner[]
While sitting in class, he learns from his classmates that his English teacher Miss McGowen, whom he was recently dating, dumped him and quit teaching to run off with a football player at school. A moment later, he is then dumped by his other girlfriend Darlene, claiming that if he couldn't satisfy an older woman like Miss McGowen, then there is no reason for her to stay with Bud.
Despite the setback in his dating life, Bud is confident that the substitute teacher will be another hot woman who will not be able to resist his charm. As it turns out, the substitute teacher is an elderly woman named Mrs. A. Mariner. Upon seeing Bud, she smiles and pinches his cheek.
A moment later, Al Bundy, whom Bud told about his relationship with the 40 year old Miss McGowen, arrives at the class. Unaware of Miss McGowne having already quit, he immediately accuses Mrs. A. Mariner of having inappropriate relations with his son in order to steal "the vast Bundy fortune". As Bud tries to hide his embarrassment, Al tears into the now mortified teacher, asking what kind of hold does she have on him, before finally bringing in two Chicago P.D. officers to arrest her. Before she is taken away, he points out to the officers that she lied about her age to Bud, saying that "the last time she saw 40 was 1840".
