Muffy is a news reporter who covers the 1992 U.S. Elections in Chicago as well as the riot that happened after people voted for an increase in beer tax.
Description[]
She appears to be in her late 20s or early 30s with blonde hair. She is shown wearing a blue blazer and black skirt, and later reveals that she is also wearing thigh high stockings and a garter belt.
Background[]
She is first shown at a polling station located inside a dry cleaners, where she points out the low turnout despite being open for the past six hours. She also notes that no one is watching the election coverage and has been told by the station to do whatever is necessary to increase it.
She then smiles and proceeds to lift up her skirt a little, revealing her thigh high stockings and garter belt to the camera, as she says "You won't see that on 'F-Troop', folks!". Afterward, she tells the viewers that if anyone actually shows up to vote, the fate of the U.S. lies in their hands. Just then, the Bundys arrive and she leaves with her cameraman.
Sometime later, after Al gave a fiery speech about voting, Muffy is back on the streets, covering the riot that occurred following the passing of the beer tax. She warns viewers at home to "stay away from any restaurant that starts with 'Chez'!" and for French men to stay at home. As she continues her coverage, several of the men partaking in the riot come up to her, despite being live on television, and put their arms around her, offering her beer and a look at a Big 'Uns magazine centerfold.
As they continue to stand next to her, Muffy tells the viewers that a special midnight session will be held by the city council to determine if the beer tax increase is still valid.
