Background[]
After Al caused a massive blackout in his neighborhood that left everyone without air conditioning during a heatwave, he and his family decide to move into Foodie's, a local supermarket. When Kelly asks her parents if they want anything, Al is mesmerized at the the sight of Nibbles bending over the refrigerated section by the Bundys. He picks up a box of Wheat Thins and quietly drops it behind her while she is busy looking at the refrigerated products. He calls out to Nibbles, telling her that she had just dropped something. She then squats down and picks it up, thanking Al, who in turn, thanks her for what she has shown him.
As she walks off, he continues staring at her while Kelly continues to try and get his attention. After he becomes annoyed with her calling him, she asks if he wants anything. He responds by saying "I have a strange yearning for some melons" and then after seeing their neighbor, Marcy D'Arcy, "...and a plucked chicken". Marcy tells Al and Peg that she is there to buy ice due to Al's blunder that left the rest of the neighborhood to suffer in the sweltering heat without any air conditioning. Al then quietly shifts his focus and rolls a can of corn bits towards Nibbles and tells her that she dropped something again. Although she is not on screen, she thanks him once again and he thanks her as well.
Sometime later, as Nibble walks down the toiletry aisle, Al quietly follows her and begins to toss random items behind her to see her bend over, while she remains unaware of what Al is deliberately doing. Eventually, he runs into Bud and tells him to take notice of Nibbles and to then get him something to throw behind her. He then returns with a carton of eggs and Al throws it behind her, unaware what he he just threw until the sound of egg shell is heard. After getting her attention, instead of bending over to pick it up, she walks over and asks if the duo if one of them was rubbing up against her at the bus stop earlier that day. A surprised Al quickly denies doing anything like that, before she points out that she was referring to Bud, who quickly lowers his head in shame and nods that he did. After Nibbles walks away, Al extends his hand out and congratulates Bud, before patting him on the head and letting out a chuckle to show just how proud he is of Bud.
After the Foodie's manager becomes of aware of the Bundys trying to live at the store, he informs Al that he needs to either buys something or get out immediately. With the few cents that his family could scrounge up, he tries to buy a stick of gum and asks Marcy if he could cut in front of due to him only having one small item. Still bitter about what happened with the neighborhood, she tells him "Eat hot death" and he quickly notices tabloid with a headline that read "Steve Rhoades Marries Cher", causing an upset Marcy to jump out of the line while the Bundys take her place. As the family greets the cashier, an alarm goes off and she informs the Bundys that they just won a $1000 shopping spree.
As the family jumps up and celebrates, Al sees Nibbles walking and drags her into their celebration circle. An excited Peggy tells Al to feel her heart beating, he decides to put his head on Nibbles' chest instead. She then informs Al that his ear hair is poking her, just as Peg grabs Al by the ear and makes him celebrate with her and the kids. Marcy informs the manager about Al cutting in front of her, which leads to the store's founder Mr. Foodie coming out and offering both the Bundys and D'Arcys a chance to win the shopping spree.
While the Bundys and D'Arcys fight their way through the store, the store's special guest, Jerry Mathers, walks over to Nibbles.
