Richard Moll (born Charles Richard Moll, January 13, 1943 - October 26, 2023) was an American actor and voice actor, known for his role as Nostradamus "Bull" Shannon on the NBC sitcom Night Court from 1984 to 1992 and as the voice of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent on FOX's Batman: The Animated Series.

He guest appeared on MWC: in the season 10 episodes "The Hood, the Bud and the Kelly (Part 1)" and "The Hood, the Bud and the Kelly (Part 2)" as Gino.

Early Life[]

Born in Pasadena, California, he grew remarkably tall at a fast rate, reaching 6'1" by the age of 12 before reaching 6'8". He attended UC Berkley, majoring in history.

Acting Career[]

He began acting in the 1970s starring in television shows and films such as Brigham, Happy Days and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo. In the early 1980s, he continued in shows and movies such as Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Laverne and Shirley, The Fall Guy, The A-Team and The Dukes of Hazzard.

After shaving his head for a role in the 1983 sci-fi film Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn, he auditioned for the role of court bailiff Bull Shannon on Night Court and was told to keep the bald look. He stayed on the show until the series finale in 1992. He did not rejoin the cast when the show was given a reboot in 2022, making his former co-star, John Larroquette, the only original cast member to join.

During the later 1980s and throughout the 1990s, he worked on other projects such as Out of this World, 227, Martin, Loaded Weapon 1, Babylon 5, Jingle All The Way, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Sabrina The Teenage Witch. In the 2000s he appeared on shows and movies such as Scary Movie 2, Smallville, Cold Case, and Anger Management. His last credited appearance according to IMDb was the 2018 film, Slay Belles.

Voice Acting[]

As a voice actor, he has appeared in various animated series and video games, such as Norman on "Mighty Max", though he is best known for his voice role as Harvey "Two-Face" Dent on "Batman: The Animate Series" and the Scorpion on "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" , both of which ran on FOX during the early to mid 1990s. He has also lent his voice to video games such as "Fallout" and "The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction".

Death[]

Moll passed away on October 10, 2023 at his home in Big Bear Lake, California. He publicist confirmed that he had passed away peacefully at his home. [1]

His Night Court co-star John Larroquette paid tribute to him on Twitter, noting how they had previously worked together on the sitcom Mork and Mindy before reuniting on Night Court and that he was larger than life. [2]

He is survived by his ex-wife Susan Moll, children, Chloe and Mason Moll, and step-children, Cassandra Card and Morgan Ostling.
