Sherry Cherry is one of Luke Ventura's neighbors. She and her sister Terry are known as the Cherry sisters.
History[]
When Sherry and her sister visit Luke, they bring him an oxygen mask because their mother taught them never to go anyplace empty handed or without a dime for a phone call. They notice that Luke redecorated and sit down on the couch. After Luke and Terry head to the bedroom, Sherry gestures Al to sit next to her on the couch. Still startled by her, he sits down and she asks him what he does and tells him that her sister and Luke are gonna be in the bedroom for a while, meaning that he is stuck with her. Al responds taking a breath with the oxygen mask.
When Al goes to the bathroom, Sherry tells him that she and her sister got jobs as stewardesses because they thought that was the way to become pilots. However, unlike her sister, who works in first class, Sherry only works in coach, thinking that her sister is smarter than her. After Al comes out of the bathroom and they sit back down, Sherry remarks that Al has very strong forearms and assumes that it is from all the flushing. She then explains that men always make passes at her because they think stewardesses are easy but that that is not true. She asks him what a nice guy looks for in a girl to which he replies, "You". She tells him that she feels comfortable talking to him because she can be herself and does not need to live up to stewardess stereotypes. She states that she is looking for a serious commitment, as in someone who will stay the night, because she needs a man to make her whole. Al realizes that he should return to his wife and tells her that he better get going so she offers him a massage and he takes it. She asks him if she can come home with him and declares that it does not matter that he is married. He explains to her that any man would be lucky to have her but that it just would not be right. She acknowledges how honorable he is and that his wife must be wonderful. He tells them good bye and leaves.
