Sue Ann Gilfillan (October 15, 1930 - March 12, 2017) was an American actress and founding member of the Williamstown Theater Festival playing lead roles there over many seasons.
She appeared on Married... with Children as Lisa in the "Pilot" and "The Poker Game".
Biography[]
Gilfillan graduated from Wellesley College in 1952 and from The Yale School of Drama three years later, in 1955.[1]
In 1956, she was one of the founding members of the original company of the Williamstown Theater Festival in Williamstown, MA. Over many seasons, she played lead roles in "St. Joan", "The Matchmaker" and "Ondine" among others.[1][2]
After marrying producer Tony Converse on April 19, 1963, she appeared in a number of Off Broadway plays before moving to Los Angeles in 1977. 20 years later, they moved back to New York.[1]
In the years from 1954 to 2000, she also played several minor roles on TV shows and movies.[1]
Gilfillan is survived by Tony Converse, her husband of 54 years, sons Anthony and Alexander, and four grandchildren.[2]
