Zheneni s detsa v Bulgaria (Женени с деца в България) (Married with children in Bulgaria) was a Bulgarian adaptation of the American sitcom Married... with Children and ran for 16 episodes on the Bulgarian TV channel Nova TV in 2012. The series was a literal translation of the original series, only with Bulgarian actors.
All dialogues, gags, and episode titles were taken from the original scripts, except for the names which were changed to Bulgarian ones. Al Bundy became Joro Bikov (Жоро Биков), Peggy was named Tsveti (Цвети), the children's names were Bobby (Боби) and Sissy (Сиси) instead of Bud and Kelly, and the dog, originally Buck, was named Elmo (Елмо).
Due to a bad time slot which led to low ratings and negative reviews, the show was cancelled after just one season.[1]
